Our May “Community Service Project”

This month we will be collecting prizes for the “Summer Reading Program” at the West Bend Community Library.

We did this project two years ago and were asked for help again this year. The prizes for the children’s “Summer Reading Program” will be for a treasure chest which is filled with prizes for reaching weekly goals.

Prizes are typically priced at one dollar or less. The librarians suggested prizes such as pencils, key chains, play dough, glow sticks & individually wrapped snacks such as granola bars and fruit snacks—in other words, fun and inexpensive gifts.

The library also runs a “Summer Reading Program” for adults headed by our own Sara Davister. Sara has asked that we consider donating gifts for this reading program as well. Her suggestions for prizes includes bottles of wine, chocolate, lotions, & notepads.

We will be collecting items at the Washington County Dem Office. Please stop by and drop off a donation the next time you are passing by.
