Washington County Dem Breakfast

There is a group of Dems who meet for breakfast every (2nd and 4th Tuesday mornings at Top of the Ridge Restaurant at Cedar Ridge in West Bend.  The group meets at 8:30 AM and leave around 9:30 AM.
Cedar Ridge is on the west side of West Bend.  Take Hwy. 33 west out of
West Bend, then south on Scenic Drive West (note there are 3 Scenic Drives
in Washington County, I don’t know why). Then a left turn onto Cedar Ridge
Drive, park in the main parking lot.
The main entrance is 113 Cedar Ridge Drive.
Any questions, you can call Barb Landis at 262-334-2234.

Bernie Sanders endorses Hillary Clinton

A lot is happening in national politics right now!
First, Senator Bernie Sanders endorsed Secretary Hillary Clinton for President, creating a unified front for the Presidential Race.  For an interesting interview of Senator Sanders on his endorsement, please click here.   To see the entire endorsement speech, please click here.
We are also at the start of the Republican National Convention this week and we are just one week away from the start of the Democratic National Convention.   The official site for the Democratic National Convention is  https://demconvention.com/ and they will have a live feed throughout the convention as well as information on speakers, votes, and events surrounding the convention.  Also note our “Convention Watch Party” on Thursday, July 28th from 6 PM – 9 PM at our office in West Bend.  Watch this historic event surrounded by like-minded folks and supporters!
As a “kick off” to the Republican convention, please take a look at this poignant video by the Hillary Campaign on Role Models.  It’s a point worth making with our friends, neighbors, and co-workers.  Our children are watching. Who will we give them as their next role model?
Finally, it is unlikely there will be a Washington County Dem Blast next week as I will be heading to Philly early next Sunday morning.  But please be assured, if there is any time sensitive information we need to get to you, we will find a way to make it happen.

Supplies for our Volunteers

Our office is already humming with volunteers – what a great sight!!  There are some supplies we could use in the office to help our volunteers feel more comfortable while knocking on doors and making phone calls to voters in Washington County.  Bring any donations you can make to the office during office hours!
1. Snacks – needed anytime we have a canvass or phone bank.  Non-perishable snacks can be stored in the back office.
2. Water (especially with our hot, hot days lately!)
3. Sunscreen (to put on before hitting the doors)
4. Small packets of Kleenex (to take along on the doors)
Thank you advance!!
